Really easy Plug n Play Hard Drive.......2007-09-24
I'm delighted wih this hard drive: everything worked perfectly from first instalation. Even the fingerprint swipe is easy and works a treat: which is more than I can say for my Vaio PC's fingerprint reader. Probably would have rated it a 5 star: but there's always that niggle that there's 'something new just around the corner'.

Not worth the 1 star.......2007-11-16
I have bought 3 various makes of these Lacie drives, and all 3 have had problems and 2 have died altogether losing absolute GB of data.
Lacie support is non existent, and non helpful.
The only drive which I haven't had problems with is my 1TB Maxtor.

I bought this product to back up my computers HDD. This is the first external HDD I have ever bought, and I am very pleased I chose this particular drive.
Great design, strong build quality, quiet and instantly useable... just plug in a it appears on the desktop ( I can only comment on using it for a Mac and not a PC) Highly recommended.

Its looks great, delivery was fast, i was soo glad when i got it, its a great buy at this price and super cool and quiet, you can just about hear it, great harddrive for people into music or media, this is a future proof harddrive so no worries about it becoming oselete!!!!
