Excellent flash drive, very fast.......2007-12-08
This is a very fast flash drive and rugged as well. I have used it with Windows XP and Windows Vista without a hitch. I also have a dvd player at home that has a USB socket to watch movies and this drive works like a charm. I have tried other usb flash drives but the dvd drive would not play the movie after a minute or 2, no such problems with the Corsair.
The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because the lid comes off too easily and can be lost, apart from that I'm glad i bought it.

Flash Voyager.......2008-01-01
This drive is great its actually the greatest flash drive ive ever had and yes its not a lie that its waterproof ,shockproof, drop-proof etc because ive tested it. Ive drowned it in water ive thrown it down the stairs over and over again.
As for the write speeds they are pretty good too.
So not only is it Fun throwing it, but its Fast and cheap!!
Don't be tempted by cheaper options, this is well worth the money........2007-03-22
Having had a bad experience with a different, cheaper USB pen, it's a relief that this pen actually works - and well!
The casing is nice, a very robust rubber design, although it's not slimline enough to keep it unnoticed in your wallet (though it should fit).
However, the speed is what really matters. Here are the results from some tests I did with various sizes of file:
Writing:
1/16 MB files = 0.4 MB/s
1/4 MB files = 1.6 MB/s
1 MB files = 4.8 MB/s
4 MB files = 11 MB/s
10 MB files = 15 MB/s
50 MB files = 18 MB/s
200 MB files = 18 MB/s
Reading:
1/16 MB files = 12.5 MB/s
1/4 MB files = 25 MB/s
1 MB files = 25 MB/s
4 MB files = 29 MB/s
10 MB files = 24 MB/s
50 MB files = 30 MB/s
200 MB files = 30 MB/s
I can't say why there is a slight drop when reading 10MB files, but as you can see, with raw read/write speeds of 18/30 MB/s, this flash drive is pretty damned good.
The actually capacity of my drive is 3.86 GB, which I think is close enough.

Amazing!.......2007-03-07
I've had this little beauty for five months now, and the thing must be unbreakable! I've purposely put it in water too many times, and even once dropped it in the sink without the lid, by accident. To my surprise it still worked fine after that. I've thrown it down stairs, at walls, at people and even play catch with it with the wall (I'm not even joking here).
Recently I quickly pulled it out of my USB port clumbsily and I felt something break. I did pull it out quite forcefully so I wasn't surprised. The USB insert now feels a bit unstable but again it works brilliantly... somehow. This really is a brilliantly made USB drive.
It's also very small, looks great and is incredibly fast. A very decent price when I bought it (was £30) and considering you can get this with 4GB of memory for that price now, I strongly advice anyone looking into the USB drive market to seriously consider this. I can't see it being beaten.

Faster than the quoted speed!.......2006-10-14
I've been using one of these for about 6 months now. When reading large files I get transfer rates of around 20.5MB/s, whereas writes are usually around the 10-11MB/s region. Obviously transferring lots of smaller files makes it somewhat slower but that goes for all USB flash drives due to their nature.
It is very rubberised and has an extremely durable feel. I read elsewhere that it can withstand being run over by a truck, being submerged under water, and even being in an oven at 200 degrees C for 30 minutes, and though I haven't tested this I can believe it.
You also get a nice long sturdy strap similar to those used for ID card holders, and it has a good metal clipped hook so you can detach it when needed.
Definately the best flash drive I've seen, and yet it's half the price of what you'd pay for some other brands.

I accidentally left this in my black shirt pocket, which went into a high temperature full cycle in the washing machine. Only to come out working perfectly!
If that doesn't say how tough this little thing is...!
