Corsair Flash Voyager GT 8GB.......2007-12-27
Very fast data transfer for both read & write, it makes my old crucial 1GB flash drive look slow when copying large amounts of data.
Thicker than some so may be tight if you have another usb cable plugged in next to it, but this is my only criticism and I wouldn't swap it for another make.
A transfer test on my 8GB Corsair gave the following results:
1.12GB 160 files (Mp3's) in 13 Folders transfered in 55 seconds.
959MB Norton Ghost image in 36 seconds.
Nero Burning Rom 8.1.1.4 trial (179MB) in 7 seconds.
76MB file in less than 3 seconds.

I have used the previous 1GB Flash Voyager for 18 months, with no problems at all. However, this one stopped working after a few hours.
I had corrupted files, the PC frequently failed to detect the device (this happened on 3 different PCs), and then it stopped working altogether. The blue LED is on all the time, Windows says the drive is not formatted, but fails when I try to format.
I will be sending this straight back where it came from (not Amazon I must add).

Great memory stick.......2007-12-25
This USB stick does exactly what it says on the tin. It's fast, works straight from the box, and comes with a copy of some very good encryption software on the drive which you can optionally use if needed. So far, it's been fast, reliable, and problem free. After ordering this it arrived very quickly.

Upon purchasing this item I was told delivery would be 3-6 days from Germany! After 10 days, the item had not been delivered. Contact with Avidea showed an appalling lack of customer service. In their eyes, it was up to me to chase up the non-delivery through DHL. Having spent many hours being passed from one phone-line to another, I was left none the wiser. More days followed with still no item turning up. Eventually, I, with no help at all from Avidea, tracked down the item to some office in Essex to be told that it was now lost, presumed stolen! All this time I had no help from Avidea or any promise to send out another item. Now they tell me it is out of stock(!) yet they still are advertising above. AVOID!
Brilliant - Just what I need.......2007-09-27
I carry a USB memory stick wherever I go on my car keyrings. I've been through a few plastic 1-2GB sticks that cost usually around £15. They usually break. So anyway, myu recent 4GB £20 one snapped and I was gutted.
I needed another so I looked around and found this 'rugged' 'hardwearing' one. I took a chance and bought it. I received it today and I'm very impressed with the FULL hard rubber surroundings. The key ring space is flexible which is ideal when jingling around on my keyring.
Popped it into the USB slot and as per usual, XP picks it up with full speed USB 2.0 connectivity.
It is around the £50 which is expensive for a USB key, but the build quality is fab and get this!... It comes with 10 YEARS CORSAIR WARRANTY! which I'm loving :-D
