This item does not show the pink logo on the rear of the item. Don't buy if it is for a boy. The packaging also shows the item clipped to a pink blouse. Very misleading.

This item does what it says on the box. It provides a bluetooth facility for your laptop or desktop computer providing connectivity between your computer and bluetooth devices (mobile phone, keyboard, mouse, printer, camera, etc). It took a few minutes to install from the mini cd provided and immediately was usable from plugging the dongle in. It searched for devices and picked up all the devices in the area, pairing with them without problems.
Once paired though I am uncertain as to whether the software/dongle correctly picks up the services associated with your device. My bluetooth headphones pair up but don't do much (ie. can't hear sound through them!). Otherwise the product is good.
Vista no, XP yes!!!.......2007-10-30
At first I tried this on my new computer, running on Vista. It didn't work, there was no vista driver supplied or that I could find on the internet.
On my other computer, running XP, it was great. No problems intalling, and fast transfer.
Highly recommended for XP but I couldn't get it to work on Vista.
Connectivity Problems.......2006-09-23
Since owning this bluetooth dongle I had nothing but trouble. The device installed ok paired fine with my phone but would repeatedly drop connections. This was the same for a different phone and also installed on a different pc. Looks like I had a bad one. Product returned fine, refund issued ok, so thimbs up for that.

Yes it is a good cable but why is it on sale for 20 quid. It is bundled with virtually all the phones listed and only works with them not any pop port nokia. Totaly useles and a waste of money.
Connecting the Nokia 8230 to PC.......2004-07-11
This cable is brilliant to connect the 6230 to my PC, and now allows for full phone editing via the PC and the free Nokia PC software. MP3's around 60 plus on a 256 mb MMC card, images, video clips, home made ringtones from free midi files and pictures taken on the phone can be transferred back and forward. However it is not worth £29.99 ! Bought mine for £9.80 via Amazon affiliate saving £20! What a rip off from the other vendors.
