I echo J.Gerretsen's comments that this is an excellent card in terms of refresh & transfer times, reliability, etc. A worthy purchase at around 40 pounds.
Regarding the reviewer who paid an eye-watering 450 pounds to a Marketplace seller, please note that I never buy from Marketplace sellers because they are just a rogue's gallery.
Just look at all of their "manufactured" feedback from people called Mr R, Miss A, Mrs S, Mr H, etc, etc. All made up, and all rubbish. It's astonishing that Amazon don't take action against all of these rogues as it tarnishes their reputation. Play safe and buy only from Amazon itself.

Excellent transfer speed for it's class and good value at the price. I take wedding photo's (hence a need for quality and reliability!) with Sandisk cards and cannot praise them enough. Havne't lost any data or had any problems in over 40,000 frames.

Obviously the price was NOT a mistake as 'CA Wascherford' claims. They were at that cost for months. I purchased one at nearly £450 and am now taking on of the sellers to court as they have refused to give me my money back DESPITE NOT EVEN DISPATCHING IT TO ME (I recieved an email five days after my purchase to tell me that there was a problem with the stock and they would not be able to supply it for atleast 10 weeks!!!!!) I should have read the reviews by Andrew and Neil first as these guys know what there talking about. so please please do not buy this item

This product is the best in its class (well the extreme 4 is better...). It goes without saying that the 1000gbp price was a mistake - and it is sorted now. I have used the sandisk cards (mostly compact flash, but also sd to some extent) in conditions ranging from the harsh winter in Mongolia to the humidity and heat of Liberia and West Africa in general during the rain season. Not only is the data transfer speed great, but the extreme range was designed with tough conditions in mind - and in my experience they serve that purpose very well.

Believe it or not I stared at the top of the page for god knows how long in disbelieve. THE PRICE!!! Staring at £450 from "top-trader" and climing in price to £1,036.79 from "simply-well-priced." These companies should be shut down (or at least have the listings removed by amazon) as these offers are nothing less than a criminal con! God help any poor soul who has actually purchased one at that price. I wanted to purchase two of the memory cards for my new digital cam and being a great amazon fan my first reaction was to come here. But after being gob-smacked by the rip off prices from 3rd parties, I went to google, typed in "Sandisk Extreme 3 SD 4Gb Memory card" and found a website selling exactly the same cards for £49.99 DELIVERED!!!

I use it with a Canon EOS 400d, on largest jpeg (depending on aperture etc etc) is over a 1000... RAW around 500

Bought this card because of the reviews, ordered from Emartbuy. Execellent service direct and great price. You also get a recovery disc as well. Using with a Canon 350D on highest JPG setting, the number of pictures available goes off the scale over 999. As RAW about 460.

Bought one of these baby's for my new Canon 350d for [...]earlier in the year. Its fast, its reliable, just put it in the camera and forget it. I thought it was well worth the money then, so as the price comes down, its a bargian. If you need a CF card, stop messin around, buy this one, it rocks!

Sandisk flash memory cards are probably the best on the market. These 4GB cards used to be soooooooo expensive. The price today is a real bargain. 4GB+ for a modern DSLR is essential since megapixel sensors have reached 10+, many shooters shoot RAW or RAW+jpeg and regularly use high ISO speeds; so, file sizes have increased and are likely to continue to do so. Also, these cards are three to four times faster than current DSLRs.
