Works with Windows Vista readyboost.......2007-11-07
I have had this drive a while now and have used it successfully with Vista readyboost.
I now realise how lucky I was, I decided to buy a bigger drive solely for readyboost and have now tried 3 of the bigger 4gb versions (none of them verbatim) and NONE of them 'have the required characteristics for readyboost' which basically means they are too slow.
I'll be sticking with this drive for a while!

Beyond a gadget.......2004-03-10
You name a way of copying files from one computer to another and I've tried it- the humble floppy, laplink cable, optical cd, Bernoulli drives, network crossover, CD-RW and the various flavours of DVD. They all have their up and downsides but where USB flash memory wins every time is sheer ease of use and convenience. Simply pop the key in the nearest USB port and provided you're running a recent OS up pops the USB drive as a removable disk.
The verbatim range of USB memory keys represent great value for money and the build quality from this well known manufacturer is excellent. The drive attaches to a lanyard (supplied) or a keyring via the protective cap so you won't have a bunch of keys hanging from your compter. The attachment is an integral part the housing so it won't break easily, unlike other models I've seem. Also, they're quite stylish units, coming in a variety of translucent colours depending on the capacity. USB2.0 is supported (backwards compatible with USB1.1) so transfer speed is not a worry. The box includes a driver disk (for Win98), lanyard and USB extension cord for those out-of-the-way USB ports. A utility application called Store 'n' Go is pre-installed on the flash drive which allows the user to password protect sensitive data.
All in all, a great purchase.
