o.k. when working.......2008-01-17
my first pair of cordless phones, ordered a pair charged for 24hrs, after an hour the base unit stopped working replugged worked for 20mins stopped again, on and off a couple of times then stopped all together, sent them back, amazon re-ordered & sent me another pair low & behold the same thing happened again, very disappointed after reading the reviews, when they were working, v.good, went 100 yards down garden & into shed and they worked fine, I'll stick with corded ones i think.

I bought this product mainly based on the positive reviews, however, there were a few negitive things about it, and i was indecisive about weather to buy it or not, however, eventually, i decided to bite the bullet and go for it, and boy was i impressed, it arived band on the day it said it would, even with the super saver delivery it was only 4 days (including a sunday). the product its self on the other hand, is very impressive, sound quality is great, its almost perfect for the person listening, however it does loose quite a ot of sound and is easily heard by others. very pleased and definatly deserves 5 stars
Quality....but questions.......2007-11-22
I find it quite annoying that the volume and tuning feature are a spec of dust apart; also leaving the headphones on 'standby' can lead them to play up e.g. partial sound. However when the device does work it is something special, and dont laugh at the range because trust me it goes the length it states. I was close to a three star review but the quality of sound made me feel guilty.

Not bad for the price. I find there's a little bit too much background hiss for me and the headphones have a tendency to slip off at the smallest of head movements. Also, as someone else wrote, the volume and tuning wheels are too close together so altering the volume could cause you to accidentally un-tune them. To be honest, I wouldn't buy them again but maybe I just expected too much for the price.

I am very pleased with these phones, use them daily. Wireless phones are wonderful. To my (aging) hearing, the sound quality is just fine. So just a few niggles:-
1) If, like me, you use them while being active about the house and garden, you may find that they have a highly annoying habit of falling off your head when you bend down!
2) There is a smart system in the transmitter whereby it turns itself off if it thinks the TV or HiFi that it is plugged into is switched off. Excellent except that it is far too insensitive and you have to have the voulme very high to prevent it switching off transiently in quiet passages. Not a problem in that the phones can be turned down to compensate, but a real nuissance in that the TV.HiFi ROARS at you when/if you plug the phones out.
3) Real design boo-boo! There are two identical thumb-wheels on the right hand phone. One is for volume that you regularly use. The other is for tuning that you set once and forget. These are far too close together - it is horribly easy to turn the wrong one while trying to adjust the volume (which you obviousy do blind, with the phones on your head)and to lose the sound altogether or introduce hideous distortion. I hope I have just fixed this problem by putting selotape over the tuning wheel (ugly), but the designer should be shot.

Installation problems but otherwise good.......2005-11-10
This very small device works well. I use it with a Nokia headset and reception is good and clear.
A wee glitch on installation as it requires you to do a nasty hack to get it working with XP SP2 but d-link have on on-line guide that's clear and easy to follow. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.
Works perfectly with Powerbook and Sony Ericsson W800.......2005-08-27
I bought this to use with my Powerbook G4 running OS 10.4 Tiger. It worked perfectly as soon as I plugged it into the USB port - no drivers or software to install on the Mac. It has a very small profile and only protrudes from the port by about 3cm.
My principal use is for connecting my Sony Ericsson W800 phone and my Mac. When I did this using the USB cable my Mac would invariably crash following disconnection (it had never crashed on me before that). Now the Bluetooth connection allows me to transfer files without any hassle. The transfer speed is pretty good too (for Bluetooth, as an earlier reviewer pointed out).
If you want to Bluetooth-enable an older Mac running OS 10.2 and above, this product will do the job.
D-Link dbt 120.......2005-06-26
I bought this item despite reading some less than enthusiastic reviews. When I finaly received it I was able to just plug it in to the rear usb port on my G5 imac and it was up and running!
No problems, nothing set up on Mac's, great!

Installation of software was fairly erratic On the XP box, not too many problems but 98SE was a bit of a pain. Only after uninstalling and reinstalling, I realised that the 'synchronise with MS Outlook' was just not meant to interact with the Sony Ericsson T610 phone. It'll sync the address book but not calendar items. A colleague managed to do it relatively pain-free with a Kondor device, I should have paid the extra and bought one of those.

receved in great condition, auto install worked well.
but the user guide is not the best in the world.
tip: once installed right click on the bluetooth logo in the tool bar quick connect>bluetoth serial port
the range is a reall strong point, between floors.
the nokia 3650 suite worked well once i found out what port the dongle was on. worked with a T68 as well.
overall: with the ability to send from the file viewer, and compatibliity with nokia software, this is worth the messing around for 15 mins.

Great little bag.......2007-09-02
I bought this bag specifically for a new point and shoot digital camera with underwater housing and a number of accessories. It works like a dream and is like Dr Who's Tardis inside. Intregal cloth and water proof cover are great too. It also has internal pockets, adjustable dividers and slots for memory cards. Really amazing quality and funtionality for such a small bag at a very reasonable price. I chose it as I know Lowepro make great camera bags having owned a bigger version for my SLRs that has kept them safe around the world for years

I've had this phone for nearly six months and it does not give you anything but trouble. The volume is really bad that you cannot hear the other side properly. Plus no matter how long the phones are placed on the charging dock the charging does not happen properly (YES I've changed the batteries several times). Not recommended

I ordered this item on 27th December 2005, with the 'Usually dispatched between 1-2 weeks' tag on it. However as of today (29th January) I have been told that it will not be available for another 4-6 weeks. Yet that is not what it says on the item page! But it elsewhere, it is not worth the wait.

Perfect for my Fujifilm S9600.......2007-09-28
I purchased this bag online so was unable to test the fit with my Fujifilm S9600. Luckily it fits like a glove. I was looking at the Apex 110AW also but the 120 is a little longer which means it'll take the camera with the lens hood in place. I can fit in a all the associated cables, spare batteries and the battery charger without it all rattling around like they would in a much bigger bag.
The build quality is superb, padding seems good and there is a microfibre cloth built in to protect delicate lcd displays on the back of your camera. The easily deployed (and easy to stash) rain cover will protect your camera and case from the elements.
All in all I am very impressed. Size was important to me as I wanted all my stuff in one place but I wanted a bag small enough I wouldn't be put off taking it to places. Although the S9600 isn't a digital SLR it is very similar in size so I can see this bag being perfect for your EOS 400D, or similar, with a reasonably sized zoom lense attached.

Due to the price, it is very difficult to find fault with this product - the batteries alone would cost you more to buy elsewhere . I agree with the other review though - it is a bit slow. I have mine plugged in all the time, ready to go. You can use AA, AAA, 9V, C & D in this (at least). Once I have purchased some 9v and some C and D I will not be going back to normal batteries. Plus the fact in camera's etc, most of the time you cannot get away with a normal battery anyway. Buy and you won't be disappointed.
capacity of the batteries.......2007-12-21
The charger only worths £5.67 from Amazon. So you get 8 rechargable AA battries and 4 AAA battries for about £2.28. It's a real bargain even the capacity of the batteries is not too impressive. AAs are 1300mAh and AAAs are 700mAh.
The charger is not very fast, as it charges at only 120mAh. It means it will take about 10 hours for a full charge of included 1300 mAh AA batteries. And it is also a manual charger, so you have to decide when to stop the charging process. The charger has test and discharge functions which are useful for Ni-Cd type rechargable battries.

excellent model and highly versatile.......2007-07-12
Have used this for four years and cannot fault it. It is light and very easy to use. I initially thought I would be using it for work but have found it ideal for keeping a record of the birds I see on a daily basis. With three files I have had notes from meetings in one, a list of 50 birds in another and then reminders of what I have to do in the day in the third. Its smaller than a mobile phone and the batteries last a long time. With 2hrs recording time you dont need to spend more. I'd highly recommend it.

I bought this being tired of tapes, miniCD`s and the like plus having a poor memory. Its a VERY light compact piece of kit that fits into your pocket or clips onto your shirt pocket. Easy to use, and just so helpful. Its the nicest item I have bought for a long time.
Excellent entry-level voice recorder.......2005-03-18
I used to use a more bulky dictaphone with a tape. I was using it quite a lot for meetings and interviews and decided to purchase the Olympus VN-120.
The VN-120 is excellent for those that do a lot of travelling as it's really compact and light plus it has no tapes or moving parts. It only weighs 65g and is small enough to carry with you wherever you go ensuring that it's available whenever you need it.
It has three folders available so you are able to organise your notes accordingly but most of all, there's no tape! It has a handy alarm function, which you can set to remind yourself of any appointments or meetings.
It's small in size as well so can sit discretely in meetings (without making a whirring noise unlike more-cumbersome tape recorders). It's navigation features are really intuitive so you can have it up and running within no time at all.
You can use it to record up to four hours depending on which of the three settings you use. The sound quality on playback is excellent - there's no way I'm going back to tapes!
Oh - and it looks great!
