Not exactly 5.1 but great .......2007-10-05
I wasn't expecting to have a 5.1 surround headset at this price .I am satisfied with this product because the sound is crystal and crisp but definitely not 5.1.
The lenght of the wire is close to two meters so for a non wireless headset it lets you move around your desktop.
The caps are a bit tight so after using it for a long time ears hurt.

Exorbitant postage, complete rip-off.......2008-01-11
I bought 6 of these USB drives from the seller "flash_memory", even though the initial postage costs I was quoted seemed high. When I have bought more than one item from an amazon marketplace seller on previous occasions, the sellers have reduced their shipping charge to reflect the actual cost of postage - which seemed normal and fair procedure.
The 6 USB drives arrived - as promised - within a week. However, I was appalled to find that although they were all sent in the same small (A5-sized) envelope, I was charged £27 for postage! This amounts to sheer dishonesty, and I will certainly not buy from flash_memory again.
OUTRAGEOUS POSTAGE TERMS.......2007-12-22
I recently had a satnav from you with very reasonable postage and packing costs and it arrived in two days. Now I try to order £18-86 worth of memory sticks and am quoted an extra £18 for postage. This detracts from the favourable image I have always had of Amazon.

I wanted a small extra purchase to make my order qualify for free postage, so added two of these. BIG MISTAKE. My postage went up to £16!
With the VAT and the postage, three memory sticks came to £22!
I deleted the order as quick as possible, and will go to a high street shop.

Agree with the first review. Bought mine a year ago had have had no problems until I lost it! - a hint, back up your files on a regular basis. Even after putting through the washing machine more than once it still perfomred as required. Upgrading to 4 gig of the same model

what a great piece of kit, its so little i keep it on my keyring which is really handy in case you find yourself somewhere when you absolutely have to copy files.
I even stupidly left my keys outside in the garden, and it survived a cold wet night.

Problems.......2007-10-01
Nice looking hub, when working it functions very well...reads my sd card at lightning speeds! Very Impressed with that side of it, however! Every time I turn my computer off..when I turn it back on again it some how goes off line! Got to pull the plug out and re insert it for computer to recognise it again...very annoying!
Mac users beware.......2007-08-22
Using this on my Mac (G5 tower), I found that the connection would occasionally degrade to USB 1.1, making card imports painfully slow. Worse, within the last month, the unit has been unexpectedly dropping the connection for a few seconds at random, causing my keyboard and mouse to temporarily become unresponsive, and cards and connected USB devices to unexpectedly dismount. This behaviour has culminated in complete system crashes on several occasions.
I have now dumped this device and will be replacing it with a USB hub and separate card reader--from a different manufacturer, naturally.
Use with Vista.......2007-06-18
Not sure whether it is Vista causing the problem but be careful that this device is not left plugged into the mains as it may cause you not to be able to switch on your PC from cold. Switch it on later

I have owned one of these for a number of years and the biggest card in it to date has been a 1gb compact flash.I have now upgraded my camera and have been trying to get it to read a 2gb sandisk extreme 3 SD tonight to no avail,thought it must be the extreme 3 bit causing the trouble as it has more contacts on it but after reading the reviews on here i realise its the size of card causing the problem! I have been happy with the reader up until now though,it makes no difference if you upgrade the driver.This is an odd problem because the USB ports work fine with a corsair GT 4 gb flash drive.
Slick and works fine with cards above 1GB.......2007-05-28
I can't fault this media reader. It's fast, supports XD cards which is a bonus and I've had no problems with 4GB compact flash cards at all. Its slick, small and looks good. Highly recommended.

Think i paid about 5 pounds for my memory stick and thought to myslef 'bargain' and it really was! Had no problems with it. Only thing im gutted about is to see it dropped to just over 2 pound after two weeks of purchasing it, but oh well, i'll get over it!

This is a very nice little pen drive, I've had it for a while and not had any problems whatsoever with it. It's reliable (in spite of the battering it sometimes gets in my pockets) and has so far been recognised by every computer with the specified operating systems. Now it's even cheaper than when I bought it, and I think it's a really good buy.

Bought this to transfer pictures to and from SD cards. The unit is a bit lightweight but does the job perfectly and comes with a good quality screened USB cable. Has a blue LED which goes purple while data is transferred which is a nice touch.
For the money how could you complain!

My old Tevion card reader could not read my new Sandisk Extreme III SD. That is when I knew the Tevion reader was incapable of handling new tech. After reading one of the reviews here I immediately purchased this card. I am extremely satisfied with this purchase.
It reads my Extreme III cards (SD and CF)at the speed of lightening. My Kingston 50X SD also reads well. The card reader feels well built and comes supplied with a quality high speed cable. The card fit tight and secure.
If you are looking for a card reader, look no further.
An excellent choice for Linux and Windows XP users........2007-11-12
Linux users have a tough time with hardware as it can sometimes be a leap of faith with users not knowing if hardware will work until you plug it in. I have tested this card reader with a live CD version of Xubuntu and it works well without the need to install any additional drivers or software. I was able to copy files from my Win XP partition straight onto the Memory Stick(MS), Secure Digital(SD) and Compact Flash(CF) cards and I was also able to transfer files between each card.In order to test the system further I removed each card without unmounting it first (a bad idea). Xubuntu just unmounted the card automatically without crashing, excellent!.When I booted into Win XP the card reader worked just as well. Overall a good card reader and well worth the extra cash to avoid the hassle associated with cheaper products.
