The USB/iPod connector I received looks well used---or trodden on. Tried the wall plug with the connector but could see no indication of the iPod charging. Tried again with the wall unit and the official iPod connection---still no charging. Tried the cheap USB connection from computer to iPod---device not recognised. Tried the official USB connector with my computer--- the iPod indicated charging and it did so in a few minutes. Now need to try the cigar thing unit. Not sure whether this 3 in 1 kit works or not.

A good charging kit.......2007-09-07

This works fine. I've had no problems. The wall plug is relatively small and light. When my ipod battery was low I plugged this in and I was instantly able to use the ipod again - but plugged in. It charges up quite quickly and is more convenient than plugging into the Mac every time. Maybe the extention cord could be longer but it is after all a lightweight and cheap product. Good value.

a basic 3 in 1 charger for your ipod.

cheap, simple, easy, value for money.
although the p&p was £4 when i bought it !

i leave the cig light adapter in the car, and the wire in my pocket / bag at all times.

have never had any problems in the car, or connecting to a pc. excellent stuff. not too good charing at the wall, sometimes takes a while to start charging which can be frustrating when your in a hurry.

the price, compared to the official ipod chargers, it is very very competitive.

the quality - well, for a person that likes his/her ipod on the move, it is lightweight, and durable. (I am extremely clumsy and it has survived my mits!)

i would recommend to all and sundry

why not 5 stars? because of the slight issues with the wall, but i do fine with the car / pc option

Blew up when plugged in!!.......2007-07-03

1st use and it blew up with flash and a bang and tripped house power!! Poor quality product with cheep and nasty plastics etc. Stay well clear, and that comes from a Firefighter and qualified Electrician!!!

Really, really good.......2007-09-28

I work on submarines and so, although we do have some 3 pin sockets, it is very hard to charge ipods etc when i'm away and the sockets are in almost constant use. I take the power monkey (i actually have 2) and from them i am able to charge my ipod, my ipaq 5550 and my nokia (for when we get alogside). It's simply excellent, you require relatively little time on the socket and one charge of the monkey seems to keep all my other bits going for ages. It holds its charge well and is really neat and compact to store (as space is obviously at a premium).

There are several little connectors which come as standard but you only take what you need, I had to buy one for my ipaq which cost £2.50 so little money for the high use i get. It comes with a set of international plug adaptors so you can charge the monkey just about anywhere you happen to pop up.

All in all i would argue that i put the monkey through some pretty hostile use and expect a lot from it and to be fair it delivers.

I would recommend it to anyone and a lot of my friends have started catching on now and are using them too.

Just a really good,practical, no nonsense piece of kit which does exactly what it says it does!

For those like me, who are a bit of a 'gadget man' this piece of kit is the best thing I've bought in ages! Every time I go away I used to have to take loads of different chargers which was a complete pain. This solves all the problems. Recently went on holiday and it charged my IPOD Nano, PSP, Motorola phone (and the wife's Nokia). Also powered my Sony Camera. In the pack itself there are loads of attachments - although check website first as some you may need to buy.

Has plenty of power and therefore you don't need to keep charging the monkey itself.

If you want to save carrying all your chargers around this is a godsend - even if you only had say a PSP I would still buy. The monkey itself is extremely compact and easily portable.

It works fine with our SE and Motorola phones ... Garmin sat nav and Ipod ... and if I jam it in really hard ... with my AXIM too!

I'm not sure that the quality of the tips are that brilliant, but at the end of the day, it has proved invaluable many times over!

Worth the cash ... yep! ... but would have paid a quid or two more to have better quality tips though!!

its a great idea, and it works with the things i have (ipod video 80gb, sony ericsson k800i and psp). the battery life is ok...you can fully charge an ipod twice but then you need to charge the powermonkey again. not to worry though, as it comes with all the necessary adapters, so you'll only need to take the power monkey charger with you.

it comes with a little bag but the pieces are very small and the ipod requires the cable that you use to connect it with the computer. i've lost my one for my phone, but this is great as an ipod charger, as no ipod comes with a wall charger.

great product - just a bit fiddly and on the expensive side as well...

No good for Olympus FE-230.......2007-08-08

A note of warning: -

The FE-230 can not be charged via its USB port. "Flacolito" will discover that although the adaptor fits the camera's socket, it won't do anything.

Watch out for seller's comments. This charger will not charge new generation I-pods including Touch and 3G Nanos. It only charges my old I-pod Mini.

I bought this charger for use with my Sony NW-S706F MP3 player when I am away from a PC USB source. The device works perfectly and charges the Sony up more rapidly than using a 'normal' USB connection. It is a neat little device being smaller than a standard UK household plug (although the UK pin configuration is identical of course). Very inexpensive and highly recommended

The product description claims that it works with all Ipods and any device that uses a usb cable for charging. This turned out to be wrong as i have tried using it on both the Ipod nano 2nd generation and the new 2nd generation Ipod shuffle and it didn't work.

Reviewing this product made my day I didn t know you could even buy a USB charger which plugs directly into an electrical outlet but what a great idea There s not much to rate design wise or how easy it is to use... it looks like a plug and it s as easy to use as a plug There is a little LED indicator which lets you know when your device is fully charged though which is pretty handy.
