I bought this from amazon just before christmas for £95 with the free case when it was on offer. originally i saw the sony w35 but this is definitely worth the extra few pounds for the bigger screen, loads better!!! I am extremely pleased with this camera and have not been able to put it down since i received it, its nice and compact fits in my handbag! not bulky. it has a nice sleek look to it so very stylish! xd card compatible so i bought a sony pro duo 2gb and i have been taking photos galore! all the photos look amazing with the 7.2mp! and it takes great detail in close ups when you use the macro button for example small letters or numbers on a watch that usually blurr from a 3mp camera, with this camera you can actually see the detailing its amazing!
this camera also records sound during recording videos! my old camera never did that! annoying when i went to a carnival and had the footage but no sound. this one though will be perfect. it is also quick to take a photo you dont have to stand there holding the button for ages waiting for it to take a photo, you just click the button gently and in a second it takes the photo. it is very easy to use! i did not need to read the instructions! easy to delete pics, easy to view them, easy to transfer them onto the computer! comes with a usb cable and software etc. no batteries needed thank goodness which makes it so much easier to take photos meaning no more need to carry nor buy batteries!! you just charge it up a few hours then it is ready to use, there is an indicator so you knwo when it will need recharging, i have not needed to do this yet. ideal for a party or wedding or something where you will want to take loads of photos without your camera dying on you, aslong as you make sure it is fully charged before you go out then it will take all the photos you need. you can zoom in and out, it has a self timer of up to 10 seconds where you can put it somewhere in the room and take a photo of yourself or you and your partner so you get a full shot of yourself and not just part of you. also has many picture settings on the dial for you to take a clear picture such as to take a photo in the dark, or when it is snowing, when you are on the beach, a portrait photo, landscape, video, automatic etc etc. this camera is so much fun and any excuse for a picture and ill get my camera out i love it and definitely recommend it to everyone!!!! best to buy a case with it though so it isnt scratched as you will not want to mark this camera!! its so beautiful!!! and a bargain!!! from reviews i have read this is better than the T20 series and W85 as this is quicker when taking photos. i hope this review has helped.

I bought this camera through amazon having read through some 30 positive reviews because it obviously seemed to be a very good camera. I researched the price of it in a few well known camera shops and failed to find it anywhere near the price amazon were charging. So, I took the plunge and bought one and I'm pleased to say I am not disappointed!
It's a fabulous camera with a fast and responsive Karl Zeiss lense which makes all the difference in picture quality. Images are crystal clear and movies are a breeze to make. This camera even picks up sound! For what it is it's a very good camera with an excellent specification for the money.
Menus are easy to use and are very intuitive. Sony have done very well in creating a light-weight, easy to use camera with lots of great features. The camera also comes with a re-chargable lithium-ion battery and a charger so there is no need for batteries!
Good but not excellent Sony W55.......2008-01-10
Bought this Sony DSC W55 half month ago. First I have to say that Amazon delivery is slow. The camera itself has good looking, is smart and compact. Because of its small built-in memory, I bought a 4GB MS pro duo through web search with just over £10. Taking pictures and comparing to my old Kodak C6330 (3.2 pixels), I do not find too much improvement though the video is much much better (owing to its high resolution, but also takes too much space). It is not as good as what I expected. Due to not excellent still picture quality (I noticed there is a label on camera saying 'effective 7.2M pixels', which means it is not a real 7.2m pixel camera? no sure about it), I usually use 3.2M settings to take pictures as I did by using the old Kodak camera to save memory space. Battery is very good, lasting much longer than rechargable Ni-H batteries.
Good features summary:
1. Light, smart looking
2. Big 2.5" LCD screen, easy to view details
3. Video is excellent (should use high-quality setting, but also results in very big files)
4. Battery is very good
Somethings not satisfactory are listed below for this W55:
1. Not excellent still picture quality (effective 7.2M pixels?)
2. Menu is not very detailed (can it be upgraded by newer firmware? anybody knows?)
3. I cannot put date stamp on the pictures (can it be solved by menu upgrading?)
4. No carrying case
Therefore, I give this Sony W55 overall rating 4-stars.
Very Good Camera.......2008-01-09
Bought it when going to florida 4 holiday. At the same time my sis bought a canon ixus 60 which is not the best camera in the world. but the camera has great 7.2 mega pixels and an great iso at 1000 and also good flash. with a large 2.5'' screen with is good people coplain about them getting scratched easy but the screen on the sony is very good. it also has a view finder which helps when battrie is low also it come with lithum(Li-ion) battrry pack which is esscentul for a good camera. All nessasery leads come with it and i would recommend this great camera to any one overall but deffentily over the canon.

A surprise hit on its original release, Zoo Tycoon over the past year or two has proven to be one of the most accessible and enjoyable PC strategy games on the market. Its sequel is set to enjoy similar success, and deservedly so, for some genuine improvements have been made to an already strong title.
The first thing to hit you is the improved graphics, with a full 3D rendering of your creation before your eyes. The idea, as last time, is to build and successfully run your zoo, and now you can enter Guest Mode, which puts you on the ground and allows you to walk around your zoo. Mind you, that may not be a good plan if you don't keep on top of things. Getting the mixture of animals, good design, accessibility and public interest is no mean feat, and there's going to be plenty going wrong before you get things right.
Still, Zoo Tycoon 2 is a fair game that never leaves you in the dark as to where you've gone wrong. It's also a friendly one; the interface, tutorials and controls are all helpful, and through its zoopedia function, it's not without educational value either.
But does it all work? It certainly does. Whether you're building enclosures and moats, setting up attractions, taking on one of the scenario challenges or simply trying to cause as much chaos as possible, Zoo Tycoon 2 is never less than entertaining. That it's a game all the family can enjoy is a real bonus, too. Recommended. --Simon Brew

An OK Sequel.......2008-01-10
I loved zoo tycoon one, everything from building the exibits to trying to turn a profit and win rewards.
The only real problem with the second, is that the exibits are too easy to build, and require no thought other than where and what size. Also, there are fewer guest buildings, (literally two) which are small, and really arent worth including in a zoo. The number of annimals is not much greater than that of ZT1.
One good side of the game is the guest mode where you go into your park pick up litter, clean exibits etc. Also the blatantly sponsered safari ride. All in all its a good game, but if you played the first, you will probably be dissapointed in the drastically changing style. If you are new to zoo tycoon, get this one, its easier and more upto date

No other zoo game can beat zoo tycoon! you might find this a bit boring on its own but its better with all the expansion packs, when youve built your zoo you can take care of all the animals and be a zookeeper and go in with all the animals! it can be a bit annoying at times when the animals complain they have a smelly exhibit and it takes ages to make them all happy, but dont
let that stop you buying it because you can get zoo keepers to do all the work!

I bought this game some time ago for my son which he really enjoyed. Eventually after he had finished playing with it he asked if I would like to try it as I love simulation games. The animal facts are extremely informative and whats more in game play so many of them are so cute. I think this game is great for kids as it is really easy to come to grips with. I will now most probably buy some of the expansion packs. I must say I have learnt from this game some of the animal habitats I knew very little about.

This is one of the best strategy games around. For anyone who enjoyed the original, this sequel is a worthwhile investment. There are many new animals and features available, and the 'guest/zookeeper' mode is quite fun and lets you go in and sort things out yourself if needed, as well as adding another aspect to gameplay.
There are several different modes of play. 'Freeform' offers unlimited money and resources; don't start with this one, as you'll not appreciate it properly! 'Campaign' play is the best form to start off with as it involves directed scenarios with specific goals, enabling you to learn each aspect of zoo management as you go. 'Challenge' play is less directed than campaign play but still with limited resources and finances - various challenges are presented as you play.
This game is non violent and has real educational value (though in an unobtrusive way that doesn't spoil the fun). It would be fine for children to play, and would probably benefit their knowledge of wildlife and their ability to think strategically.
In comparison to the original Zoo Tycoon, the graphics are much better. Habit design is also vastly improved - gone is the frustrating and time consuming method of trying to work out exactly how many plants per square is required to keep each species happy - instead there is a 'biome brush' whereby you just select the right habitat type and wave your mouse over the area. Trees, rocks and plants can be added freely.
A real strength of the game is the animal behaviour. The game designers have clearly put in a lot of effort finding out how real amimals behave and react. Therefore it can be quite interesting just observing the animals, and it makes play more realistic (and more challenging!)
Those who love action games with shooting and adventure probably won't enjoy this game. But if you enjoy games such as Theme Park World, Theme Hospital, or the Sims, it's a good bet you'll like this one too.
Overall a very good game - just be warned that it is addictive - and that it brings out the control freak in you!
Windows 98 / NT / XP / Me .......2007-07-02
Zoo Tycoon is a really fun and overall good game. But my computer;Windows 98 / NT / XP / Me was 3 years old, didn't have any other game on it, not much memory used up etc. And then one day I thought that it was taking to long to load, so I looked at the disk and Unistalled it. 1 week on and I had sorted the computer, done all I could to hopefully speed the computer up. I put the game in and then... it didn't read the CD ROM. This was weird, strange and totally unexpected! It still didn't read the disc. I cleaned it, went onto te Internet to see if anyone else expirenced the same problem, apparently yes, but the couldn't solve it.
ZT 2 was, is a good game. But my time with ti was cut short. Shame.

I'll make this as short as possible because this does just what it says on the tin! Stores whatever you like! The price is right and the size of it can't be described as minimal. Basically if you need extra hard drive space I would recommend it as it looks good, is relatively compact and is simple to use. It tranfers quickly too, I managed to put 80gb of stuff on it in less than an hour. The reason I only give it 4 stars is due to the software you get on it which it prompts you to install. DON'T! They're only trial versions from some random company and they don't talk in plain english, so unless you wanna buy the full version ignore the software on it. But, I love it and I'm glad I got it!

EASY EXTERNAL HDD FOR PC OR PS3 .......2008-01-02
First of all, I am not an employee of either Sony or WD,just a gadget fan who is excited to expand on his gear to try and achieve the constantly changing and unobtainable gadget utopia.I bought this HDD after considering many others including the original My Book (more XBox like with its green circle). Noticed this had just come out, so read a lot about the original, as there were hardy any reviews on this, anywhere on the web when I was looking.So far so good, crossing my fingers and hoping that this Western Digital is a "goody" and not one of the let downs that some people seem to have got and reviewed in the aftermath of their dissapointment, not holding back either, with some bad put downs.I got a PS3 at the latter of 2007 after the price drop and luckily managed to get the 60Gb one, now sadly departed (silly sony,who wants the inferior 40GbPS3 instead, really?). Well you might consider the 60Gb a lot, but it soon fills up with music, video and all the free content from Sony's Online Store such as Demos and Trailers in HD.To compensate for this, Sony allow you to swap over the internal HDD quite easily for a larger capacity one, eg. 200Gb, but to fit inside the PS3 casing it has to be a laptop sized 2 1/2" or sit outside with some fiddly and quite complicated work fitting a 3 1/2" externally with pliers as I saw on youtube recently.I could not be bothered with all that business so, decided to look into the other route of The External Drive seeing as prices were-a-tumbling nicely. Not as nice looking job as a internal swap;with a small internal laptop drive, in that; end result is twoboxes (PS3&HDD) and two mains plugs, but nevertheless, should have its advantages in easy2PCswapability.Did you get that? Aren't Gadgets getting more Bonkersly complicated to keep up with,or is that just me?Anyway, I tried looking for an easy solution or a recommended HDD on Forums and suchlike, but somepeople seemed to have problems with this solution,eg. Formatting to Fat32 (no worries- MyBook2 is already Fat32) has to be done for the PS3 to read the drive, apparently.Leave it Fat32 and only downside to PS3 compatability upside= 2Gb file size Max (so I've read but not tried yet- 2gb on one file is awfully big!, unless something in HD, that's unlikely for me at the moment.NoProblem=Fat32=no need to change anything=swappable between PC or PS3=EASY. So on recieving,after a week of reading online, and deciding on risking any bad reviewing, and because its a nice blue PS3-matching new bluelight on the front and PS3-matching black casing (hehe), with fingers crossed, first step was not to plug into PS3, but to plug into PC, which..... is dead easy.I think it will power up and down when it is needed,very nice.No noisy fan, looks good, like a Book, funnily, a blue lit one:) great...only..... It needs (supplied) a mains supply box tranformer-typethingy, which is a bit crappy-ugly and seems to spoil the aesthetic slightly, but you soon stop worrying about it.Then there's the USB cable to plug in, and it hums and clicks (fairly quiet) into action.... up it pops on my Computer! as a removable drive:) Some software is bundled on it, but I ignored this nonsense and started dragging and dropping some Music,Photos,Video etc. remembering to put said content in the right names on the folders, so my PS3 would read them ok.ie put all mp3's in "Music" Folder etc.By the way, the PS3 now has the ability to play "Divx Video stuff you can play on your PC but not your PS3", but can now because of free firmware updates provided by Sony, thanks Sony:) heheSO,once you haven't even got anywhere near to filling it (and quite quickly too) with Divx,mp4,mp3,jpg and loads of other stuff the PS3 can read ok, unplug it, and once again fingers crossed, I plug it into the PS3 Media Machine under TV waiting for a new capacity brain,via one of the USB ports........ Tv remote Ready, SixAxis Ready, cue the orchestra, up pops the XMB, go to your Media............. and there you have it, loads of new content available taken from your PC,one big library beyond your wildest dreams available to watch on your sofa making the PS3 unbelievably brilliant at just about everything, thanks Sony, thanks WD. Just hope it lasts me ages before I get another one.(and please don't die at when its 99% full & so many long hours of filling you up)A few more things to work out yet, but I am most pleased. Easy to swap and change stuff with both PS3 and PC, best option by far, forget anything more complicated and just easily add this to your already happy internal HDD 60Gb PS3.(I got about 455Gb free on my 500Gb MyBook2),so loads of space, Go For It!!!Of Course There's lots of other Brands that could probably do this just as well, but the WD MyBook2 looks very compatable sat next to PS3 with its Black Case and lovely blu-light.It Looks made to fit,lovely partners and with the forthcoming Sony PlayTV (Dttv add on), this might just be a neccessary purchase and storage capacity needed for the complete Media Hub, at a very reasonable price.

My friend had first gotten, Zoo Tycoon, then, as soon as it came out, Zoo Tycoon 2. I went over to her house, and played it, at once I was captivated by it, and quickly purchased a copy. The next Christmas, I asked for the Endangered Animal's, and got it.
Soon after, I purchase, Marine Mania, and I love it! The graphics are amazing, the tricks you can teach your animals, are brilliant too!
It is a fantastic game, and a brilliant present, but, please remember, you do need the original game, Zoo Tycoon 2, to run it, so to avoid mega disappointment, purchase this before.

The graphics are amazing, you can swim with the animals and ride on dolphins and make your own show, this is a bit hard to get the hang of the first time but then it becomes easier and its so fun watching the shows!

Decent expansion pack.......2007-11-16
Marine Mania is an expansion pack for the original Zoo Tycoon 2 game (i.e. you must have the latter installed first in order to play). For fans of the game who have already completed the original game, Marine Mania provides a fresh challenge and injects some fresh interest into the game.
As the name suggests, Marine Mania enables the budding virtual zoo manager to build tanks and adopt dolphins, whales, sharks, turtles, fish etc. Tank building is very similar to building conventional enclosures (indeed, these can be used for many of the new species, through use of the deep water tool). A suitable biome must be selected (there are several new ones added), plants and rocks added, and food and enrichment objects provided for the animals. Zookeepers, who can now swim, care for these as well the terrestrial species.
The more original and entertaining new feature of Marine Mania is the ability to create marine shows. To do this, the player must build and equip a special show tank, train up animals (not all species can perform in shows), and devise show programmes. Training the animals can be very time consuming and, as training involves being able to trace the cursor over a particular pattern at a defined speed, can be tricky, especially for laptop users with touchpad mice. However, for experienced players, the challenge is welcome as just caring for a new bunch of animals is not particularly hard for the well seasoned player.
There are also some new objects (flora and fanua, buildings, statues etc.), the capacity to swim with the marine animals, and the ability to interact with certain enrichment objects while in zoo guest mode (e.g. kicking pursuit balls). Disappointingly there are only two new campaigns, one on looking after marine animals and one on creating marine shows.
If you enjoy Zoo Tycoon and want to continue playing, but with some fresh material, I would recommend Marine Mania. If you've had enough of the whole thing, this probably isn't different enough to rekindle your interest.

I've read most of the reviews on this page and did have to think about buying this add-on... but I am so glad I did! I love playing the zoo tycoon series etc... and this just does what it says on the tin! It's an add on, and it adds extra interest. Some say the training is tedious, but I say.. do the first few levels of training then let the trainer do the rest! If you've got to the stage where the campaign levels are nearly complete, or you've tried all the animals, then this add-on won't disappoint... definately worth it!

When I heard there was a Marine Mania coming out for Zoo Tycoon 2, I was really excited. I was thrilled when I got my hands on a copy.
But now, I must say I'm rather disappointed with it. There are plenty of new animals, but apart from that, there really is not much else.
There are no marine-themed buildings, and the so-called 'aquariums' you get are just tiny kiosks with fish in them. There is little scenery and only a handful of new maps.
You can put on a show featuring your animals, but first, you have to train them. This takes ages and get frustrating. You can hire a trainer to do it for you, but it takes even longer.
You'll find that the show feature is riddled with bugs. My dolphins 'cannot reach their performance tank,' even though I had a tank portal and nothing was blocking the way. Other times, the prop 'cannot fit into the tank,' even though it is deep enough, wide enough, and takes up about half the friggin' zoo!
All in all, I think the ratings for this expansion are inflated because people have been looking forward to it for so long. Microsoft used to put love and care into ZT2 and its expansions. When you play them, it is fun and enjoyable. But not with this expansion. Playing it seems like a chore - here it was made to cash in on fans of the original Marine Mania and make more money. That was the sole reason this was created. Not because the makers wanted to see us enjoy their product and have fun designing it. They simply made it to make quick cash. And I'm just disappointed.

Great product, but slightly misleading........2008-01-20
Fast, compact, light weight, USB powered with no external power source and is instantly compatible with 99% of systems... even works fine with my PS3! What more can i say? Its great.
The only issue I have with this product is that the manufacturers have measured its capacity in decimal but computer systems measure in binary. So when it says you get 160gb, what you ACTUALLY get is only 149gb... which i thought was rather misleading to the customer.
From what I've found though all manufacturers do this so it can't be avoided. Either way its probably going to take me years to fill up that much space anyway.
Overall its a great product and very handy to have, it just could have been made more clear about the actual capacity of it... but thats a problem with all USB sticks and external HDDs, just either have to get used to it or make sure you realize it before you buy.

I needed some extra storage space when I discovered my laptop from a few years ago was nearly full (it only has 20GB of space). I looked at a few external hard drives and decided to go for this one. It has been fantastic. As soon as it arrived I was able to plug it in and the computer recognised it straight away and the biggest surprise for me was the weight of the item. It is like carrying a small pack of playing cards.
If you need extra storage space or to transfer large files around without wanting to carry your computer then buy this item.

Yep this is a mobile hard drive that is USB powered and does NOT need a external power source - ideal to carry your files and music with your laptop - I bought mine so I could easily take all my college work from home and back - only £50 so it suits my budget - has worked like a dream so far and is built well - it survived a fall down the stairs at college!

Needed a small durable portable hard drive to go with my Acer laptop, after looking around Western digital seem to be the most popular and I found this little gem - opened the box and I was immediately pleased with the top quality finish that feels very sturdy and its tiny size is just what I needed - totally recommend this product and at £49.99 it is the best value pence per Gig mobile drive I can find any where. you will not be disappointed !!!!

Only had for a day but very pleased. Small and lightweight and recognised instantly by my laptop and desktop PC. I've noticed on several other reviews for similar devices that there are complaints about the usb lead length - be careful a longer lead will probably result in no recognition of the device.
Also some of those who complain about the clicking and flashing light may be due to using a longer lead. Quick try with a 40 Cm and 1 Mtr usb lead failed - just be careful if you wish to use a longer lead.

small and fast.......2008-01-17
works well connected to a battery powered laptop (even with the provided extension lead). it is so nice to have 250GB in such a small package.
data transfers
- to toughdrive: I got up to 10 MB/s with big files, 5MB files go at ~8MB/s
- from toughdrive: well above 10MB/s and even up to 19MB/s for larger files.
the drive is silent, and the internal USB cable is just enough to plug it to most desktops.
it has a Hitachi drive inside.

Can you imagine having a very beautiful gadget in your pocket, weight less than your mobile phone, can carry 250GB, connects to vista/xp with no hassle,...? This is it!

btw, don't expect to have a fabulous backup software free with any hdd. (Try Second Copy, you wont regret it, trust me)

Nice finish, good grip. Nicer than the slippery gloss fingerprint prone WD drive which I also have.
I use the backup software, first time I have found useful free software with disc drives. SW has stupid american dates on log files though: 01.02.2008 for 2nd of January.
I give it 5 stars but really four and a half because of the pesky/beautiful blue light in the cable. Nice for many, but since I use it as an unobtrusive backup (on a short extension cable, sort of out of sight) with the idea that burglars would overlook it if they took the computer, I don't want a lighthouse effect calling attention to it. My usual solution of a little black card over the light doesn't work when it is the cable that lights up. I rolled back the cover and dug in towards the LED in order to zap it, but cut a wire in the process. Fortunately my fine soldering skills are still with me. In the end I filled the hole and surround with black paint and rolled back the sleeve so it looks fine and the light is barely visible.
With two drives, one in the computer and one safe in a safe or with a relative, swapping each month and keeping each year end one indefinately, then a very neat and cheap archival system is made.
The 2.5 inch drives are really useful, I wonder when the next capacity boost will happen.
How Tough Are You?.......2007-12-07
As a marine biologist I have found this to be a fantastic item. I collect data whilst at work and the fact that the toughdrive is not only shock proof it is waterproof too therefore I dont have to worry about losing my data. Shock proof to say the least, i dropped this off lap and it must have fell 2 meters down a rocky bank, not a millimeter scratched out of it.

Nice portable hard drive, better then the other average drive in a plastic cases in the market! More capacity then my laptop with 250GB inside so should last a while. NTI shadow software included which is a good bit of software, might actually use the free software for a change. Comes as FAT32 but very easy to format to NTFS. Got recommended by a friend and will give him a pat of the back, a 10 out of 10 drive, cheers Amazon/Freecom.

Easy to install, drivers installed in a matter of seconds. After a reboot the card was detected and the installation complete. The usb 2.0 ports work perfectly. No problems at all. Great little card.

Got the item, cheap price good value. No problems with windows as drivers installed automatically but to actually get the item into the PCI slot was quite an issue! I needed to use a nail file to make the gap slightly bigger on the connecter. crazy i know! i spent about 10mins trying to push the thing in and couldnt figure out why it wouldn't fit and then noticed that gap was what the PCI card was rocking on, so i made it a little bigger on the pci card and hey-presto!
