i have had my bravia for around 3 months now and im delighted,ive noticed in the other reviews that some are finding the picture quality a little ropey on some programmes like football,ive found if you set the tv to have the noise reduction on auto and use the vivid preset picture mode it copes with all types of programme superbly.the colour and depth are superb and the sound(if you dont use a surround sound set up)is more than capable also.all in all a fantastic tv at a great price.and another thumbs up to amazon for speed of service and delivery.

I bought this 40" Sony Bravia model for £670.00 and it is worth every penny. I have noticed the price of it changes so I would wait until the price drops to £670.00 again and buy it quickly. It auto tunes all the freeview channels for you and you soon get used to the remote functions. There is a slightly poorer picture quality on fast moving images like watching football but having spoken to friends with different models, they all seem to suffer from this but it still doesn't spoil the viewing. DVD quality is excellant. I havn't got a massive living room and my wife was worried that a 40" would be too big but once fixed to the wall it doesn't look out of place or look too big. I am 100% happy with this TV and fully recommend it if you have a tight budget.

A friend bought a Samsung 40" LCD TV. I thought it was very impressive and start looking into purchasing one. I wanted good quality for a good price and I read a number of the reviews for the various models and brands. I started to settle on the Sony Bravia U2000 as good quality for a good price.

I have been very impressed with the ease of use and the clarity of picture. I have also used it to watch an AVI from my MacBook Pro and the picture quality was very impressive.

I have been so impressed that I am already looking at purchasing a 20" version for my bedroom.

Superb value.......2006-11-29

We took delivery of this set yesterday, purchasing it after being very impressed by our friend's Sony V2000 series in the same size. We opted for this cheaper model and really there isn't a great difference in picture quality (colours very slightly less natural). I had seen all the current models from S to X side-by-side at the local Sony centre and took a gamble that this U series would be much the same as the S. I can say that it certainly is and, for us, the case style is the best looking of the bunch. Sound is better than I expected too, with quite a strong bass responce in film soundtracks. 5/5 for value and looks!
