I purchased the BT Freestyle 3500 Quad Pack.
Choice of ring tones disappointing
Volume and volume adjustment bad.
Speaker phone did not work well. Sound would be just audible then completely disappear.
Bad hissing and crackling
Indication of messages left on answer machine not good. Would be easier if indicated on base station and not on individual handsets; tiny flashing symbol.
Each handset holders don't have very good non-slip feet.
Fortunately I was able to return this to Amazon even though it was outwith the returns period as I received a fault reference from the manufacturers.

Can't fault this one for the price, good quality - a little background hiss but then I haven't ever known a cordless phone which doesnt! Enough features to keep you amused (the usual address book etc) and are all straight forward. The ring tones include a standard "ring ring" which is always a bonus in these days of horrendous jingle ring tones.
All in all, it does the job and does it for a good price, 4/5.
Awful, don't buy these phones.......2007-11-09
Why? Because they are rubbish. I bought this pair and they would only work for incoming calls. The line was covered in hiss, and was really quiet. The ring tones are HORRIBLE, and all in all they are pretty much a waste of time. I borrowed a 20 year old corded phone and it works fine.
