Fantastic Value phone.......2006-11-29
We bought one of these for my father-in-law who's old mobile had packed up. Once we got it out the box I knew I had to get one too!!
This is a great phone, it's got a camera and takes 10 secs of video footage at a time. It does video calls apparently, and also comes with a mini SD memory card included. The 3 network coverage is pretty good, you can stay online on trains without problems, and they are now streaming ITV live for a charge each month. The 3 portal has mountains of content, much of it free, or you can subscribe to certain sites for a couple of quid a month.
I would say that Vodafone and Orange seem to have better all round media packages these days in terms of TV streaming (ie. the Sky channels, etc) but I've found 3 to be v good so far.
If you're using the internet constantly then the battery life's about 3 hours. My suggestion would be use it plugged to the mains if you can. If not online then it's pretty much same as most mobiles I've used.
It's a bit bulky but you really can't complain for the price.
Amazing value if you'll accept an oversized phone........2006-11-06
I purchased this phone because of the amazing value. My phone cost £20 and included £30 credit, though you must use this up within 60 days of registration. The first thing i noticed was the thickness of the phone, definitely oversized compared to everything else on the market.Above the screen is a lens for video-conferencing and on the back is the lens for photos and video. You have free access to the "3" web-portal and the massive content available. You will wonder how you did without it.The tariff is competitive but you receive credits for calls and texts you receive which is a nice bonus.Top-up every month and you also receive 500 free texts for the first six months. This phone is incredible value and i highly recommend it to everybody who isn't bothered it isn't the tiniest on the market but are interested in genuine value for their money.
Great phone for Price.......2006-06-21
I bought this phone whilst on holiday in Torquay in April as a back up to my A1000. I also bought a 128 trans flash card as the 32mb is not very big. when I got home I downloaded the latest version of Mobile Phone Tools which enables me to put mp3s on it ands small videos. Mobile phone tools also allows you to create personel mp3 ring tone out of any mp3 you have on your computer. Yes the battery needs a charge every night but so does my A1000, so that does not bother me at all. The camera that points outwards also has a video light on it. The joystick is tricky but it is by far not the worst I have seen or used for that matter.
For £30 you get a lot of phone and credit, by the way you can get trans-flash cards up to 1gb now and I use my head-phone from my A1000 which I am sure are available seperately to listen to mp3 music, the C975 comes with a mono headset. And since top-ups don't have to used within 30 days it is cheap to run as well.
Hope this helps you decide.(Incidentally 2 of my friends have bought this phone recently after seeing my Phone)

Do not make money off your friends.......2006-05-10
What the tarrif does not show you is that your friends pay you 5p per minute not 3. Try calling a 3 mobile from a landline to see what I mean.
Only get this phone if you want to give your number to your enemies.
Cheap and feature packed.......2006-04-11
After reading reports about the battery life I wondered what to expect, though for £29.99 I wasn't expecting much... How wrong I was!
The phone has a camera and video camera and the 3 services mean you can watch football highlights and music videos!
Plus with this phone I'm being paid to answer calls! Yes the battery life does mean a daily charge but for the price I don't believe it can be beat!

Great phone.......2006-12-28
This is a brilliant phone - I have had Nokias and Motorolas in the past, but this one beats all. I had decided to get an iPod shuffle, but when I saw this phone had itunes, I cancelled that order and bought the phone instead. The sound quality is good and kept me amused recently on a 2 hour airport wait. Very simple to use - I am a 58 year old technophobe, but setting up and downloading my CDs was so simple.
In a word DELIGHTED with this phone!
Best Phone - does everything I want.......2006-11-27
I bought this as replacement for Samsung E720. The one thing I wanted was voice activated dialling to use with my bluetooth. This motorola is perfect - it's actually speaker independent so you don't even have to train the phone. I did have a Sony W810i for a few days but voice dialling was impossible to set up on that so I took it back. The lovely metallic red of the V3im really did it for me as it is quite feminine too. The menus are easy to use and set up was a doddle. I don't like the itunes as I prefer to control what goes on the phone myself. It came with a 512 micro sd card, usb cable and software. The camera is fine, no flash, but it's adequate for snaps. I have it on contract with T-Mobile and had to ring them to have Voicemail removed from the phone because if I miss a call from someone I know their name comes up anyway. My sister and my father have bought the V3i after seeing mine. The V3i is just a different colour without itunes but it is just as good.

Top phone.......2008-01-10
Smart stylish phone! I've always had motorola phones & i love this one, not as slim as some slide phones on the market, but easy to use no accidental dialing when it's in your pocket/bag. Key pad again easy to use. The rubber around the phone stops any scraps or scratches. No annoying sounds when you open the phone like some i could but won't mention!
On the whole the phone is great, looks good, easy to use and would recommend to my friends and family.
Motorola Z3.......2007-11-29
I bought this 'tempory' phone to replace my nokia 73 where the keys fell off. I wasn't sure whether to go back to a Motorola since I prefered the Nokia's.
The Z3 is stylish and looks pretty new.
When I got this phone, I was used to the menu's straight away. The manual tells you everything you need to know (if you use them).
The camera is good quality with a light but the 8x zoom causes the pictures to be fuzzy and bad quality.
The keys. They are slightly hard to get used to but if you have had a motorola before then they are pretty easy to use.
The browser has to be set up by a setting on the phone which only takes a few minutes.
The phone slider hasn't worn out since I have had to and it hasn't snapped since I've had it (2 years). You have a choice whether to have on a slider tone or not, unlike some phones which make a loud noise when sliding it up or down.
I decided that this 'tempory' phone is now my phone which I shall be keepeing for a while. I rate it 4 stars.
Nearly Brilliant.......2007-07-21
Very smart looking phone with lots of useful features (many more than you will ever actually use!) Battery life is excellent and nearly everything is perfect....except for that bloomin keypad. It is very easy to mis type because the keys are very heavy to use. However, if you can master the keys, or you have had a Motorola before, then this is an excellent choice.
Customer Reviews:
For what it is, fantastic........2006-11-19
I bought this phone for its stunningly thin, futuristic and just plain perfect looks. Everything from the brushed, microengraved fascia to the precision-cut, chemically etched stainless steel keypad give the phone a luxurious feel, a feel that immediately informs you that the phone is a serious piece of equipment. Although the phone really has no extraordinary features or specifications, its looks enough make up for what it lacks. But for what features it does have, it really is a great phone. It's quite easy to access all of the features from the intuitive menus, and the phone freezes much less that most others. Mine has never frozen once, and I bought mine 5 months ago.
PROS:
-The camera. It's easy to access and the pictures are very high-quality.
-The Bluetooth. It's very fast and is perfect for sending large photos and mp3's.
-The exterior display. It's very handy and wonderful for caller ID pictures.
-The interior display. It's very bright and sharp, with vibrant colours.
-Connectivity. With many options, it allows wireless printing, synchronization, etc. extremely simple.
-Beautiful design. Sharp, thin lines meet perfect curves. Called RAZR for a reason.
CONS:
-Video recording. While adequate, it is fairly low-quality with poor sound.
-LACK OF ITUNES. It is advertised above that iTunes comes on the phone. It does not. The Vodafone model does.
-Lack of an IM programme. Some other Motorola phones come with one, and it is slightly strange that one of Motorola's newest phones wouldn't come with one.
All-in-all, a fantastic phone for the style-conscious and those who require extensive connectivity. It is not, however, ideal for those searching for extensive features such as that 3G phones come with.
very good.......2006-07-23
Phone look amazing, contours are very nice. Menus easy to navigate and one can usually change the order of menu items to suit. MP3 player not too bad but could do with more features. Camera quality is very good, especially in bright sunlight - tends to be grainy in dark conditions.
Overall, easily the best phone I've owned. Instuction manual leaves a lot to be desired, internet is very useful for finding additional features. Functionality not as good as the V3x but easily looks better.
Great Phone.......2006-03-17
This phone has to be one of the best i have brought....ever. The menu is occasionally slow but it has never crashed in 2 months. This phone is certainly worth its money!

Sleak & Stylish.......2006-08-04
All my previous phones have been Nokia's but I couldn't resisit the sleak lines of the V3. So far i've been very impressed with it, not only stylish but 'falling off a log' easy to use, takes reasonable photo's provided you only want to view them on a phone and the predictive text is way ahead of what my old Nokia had to offer. If your looking for a new phone you cant go wrong with this one!
Fab Phone.......2006-06-16
This is my 3rd motorola and still get more impressed with this very inventive company found it even easyier to use the slim fit great for pockets huge screen great the icing on the cake fantastic orange net work Great.
great.......2006-05-17
I have had many phones and after reading the reviews I don't understand why many are so negative..My phone has camera and video functions and I find both very good..if you want excellent then buy a digital camera, I really don't think you should expect excellence from a phone.
It's very easy to use and I have had no problems with text, if you can't use predictive text then stop being so lazy and type it in yourself.
believe me this phone is excellent, looks great, is very durable and reliable.
Great value for money and i for one am very impressed. I can't urge you enough to have this phone and don't listen to the negative reviews. If you actually read them properly you will see that many of the complaints are to petty to even bother with.
How frustrating is this phone!!!!!.......2006-04-10
I have previously only had Nokia phones but was swayed by the look of this phone. How foolish am I? The phone itself is well put together and is not flimsy at all (hence the one star rating) However, that is the only good thing I can think of to say about it. The predictive text is SO frustrating to use that I have given up and now text the old fasioned way!! The camera is dreadfull - I know I have a digital camera but I do not carry this around with me all the time unlike my phone so it would be good if the camera was half decent. Please, if you have had Nokia phones in the past stick to the best and do not be tempted by the looks of this phone as you, like me, will be sorely disappointed.
A brilliant Phone.......2006-04-04
don't listen to the people who say there is no video, all you have to do is going into video setup and change the lenght to max instead of mms, and the phone quality is just overall good, the keypad looks and feels nice,it holds loads of mp3s the menus are great and the overall look of the phone is brilliante

Motorola V3i o2.......2006-11-28
I bought this phone two weeks ago after getting frustrated with my Nokia handset. I have been a faithful Nokia user for around 6 years, however my latest - an N70 was seriously getting on my nerves (An excellent smartphone, but extremely slow and easily marked). Anyway, wasn't expecting too much with the Motorola, I loved the looks but I didn't have high hopes for the menu system.
Fortunately, as soon as I got the phone out the box I was very impressed! The phone feels excellent in the hand and is very simple to use; even after using a Nokia for a while, the menu is easy to get used to. Motorola have certainly created a design icon with the V3, it is instantly recognisable and although I haven't used the original version, for its age it still competes easily with all the handsets out at the minute. The flip cover is easily opened and even the keypad has striking looks.
Initially I was going to invest in the KRZR K1, but again it looked like a magnet for fingerprints like my N70 so at half the price the V3i is a bargain. The screen is lovely and clear and doesn't have too many problems in the sun as I am aware that the V3 had. The camera is average, but not bad for a 1.2mp. I have now come to the conclusion that a phone only needs to be a phone and if I wanted a good camera - I'd go and buy one!
Overall, I am very happy with my choice so far, the battery life is nothing special, but lasts a good two days with a few calls and texts. With such a small price tag compared to similar phones, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Should you want a high megapixel camera or efficient mp3 player it may not be the phone for you, but my ipod and kodak are good enough for me.
I defintely give it 5 stars, especially with o2's service, who have always been good to me.
My awesome phone.......2006-11-26
I got this phone about 5 months ago. It is absolutly fantastic and I love it to bits!!!! the worst things about it is that it looks like its really fragile (but ive dropped and scratched it loads and it still works) and the videos and sound recordings are limited to 1 minute each. And the games are really rubbish. If I had chosen another phone I would have chosen a samsung sliding one but my frends has one and it is really annoying so motorola razr v3is rok 4 eva!!!
Best phone I've ever had.......2006-04-22
Awesome phone. First one I've had with a camera and full multi-media system, and a real good choice at that. The price is a bit far-fetching, but it is definitely worth every penny.
The sleek design, with its cool metallic colour and slim feel in one's hands, in itself speaks volumes about its worth. The features are standard, precise and flawless. The camera is a 1.3 Megapixel with clear resolution. Although a higher 2.0 Megapixel is available with the newer Motorola V3x, the sleek design and general user-friendliness isn't all there as in the v3i. Video capture, playback and storage are all great, with maximum record of up to the space available in the memory. The 246 MB memory card that comes with the phone allows for music, video and photo storage, that can also be inserted into a laptop device. There is also a USB cable that comes with the phone that allows you to connect it to any computer or laptop, just as any external drive would work. Through this way you are able to readily download songs from the iTunes playlist on the computer, or transfer large picture or video files from the memory card, saving space for future use.
Although I primarily bought the phone for the camera feature, I will have to say the sound/music quality is unparalleled. I was amazed by the crystal clear sounds with the iTunes playlist, and any recorded video shot, which also allows for a long length of playback time before recharging. (each day or even 2 days after)
Bluetooth enabled, internet, voice record and recognition, polyphonic ringtones, mms, games, usb connection to computer or laptop for software uploads (including iTunes)....makes it all worthwhile and standard of all the good features you can expect from a phone. I have had no problems with it. I just love the design - generous colour screen, and there's a tiny display screen at front when closed. Keypads are unlike the usual buttons... they're metallic and flat, making it smooth and easy to navigate.
....recommend every bit. I love this phone!

Easy To Use, Looks Pretty Good, That's About It.........2007-07-28
I got this phone from my brother last year, has lasted me just about. The flip up hinge is about to break. It has done it's job, easy to use but nothing special. No memory so one song only, camera is poor but at £50 I suppose not a bad buy
Good phone, does the job........2006-05-02
I got this phone simply because I had used my Nokia 6310 for far too long, and wanted something different.
Overall, it is a good phone, which does the job well enough.
I miss some of the Nokia features such as sending business cards (can't seem to find this anywhere in the Razr).
But more than made up in the Razr by having a speakerphone which is pretty good.
Battery life is alright, considering the large screen.
Only thing which could have been better is the Font used - in some cases it is really too large and ugly, and not in tune with the phone's cool design.
Triumph of form over content?.......2006-04-02
I have used this phone for about two months now and it is okay - it does the job but without excelling. It is easy to use and texting, although different in concept to other makes of phone, works well. The big internal screen and camera is also very good. However, to me the operating software lacks refinement - it seems quite long winded to do simple things like update the phone book etc. I also find it hard to switch between ring/silent/vibrate modes and retain the settings with the phone in its case. Additionally, my version has no installed games - only two time limited demos. Overall I am lukewarm about this phone - if looks are a priority buy it but remember the adage "beauty is (at best) skin deep".
Motorola V3.......2006-02-22
It is perfect hand set in all respect. Pleasent size excellent LCD and good features make it unique.
Ultra Cool V3.......2005-10-12
I'm really not a mobile phone fan - in fact my Nokia 6310 has been with me for the last 5 years! I'm also have no reason to use a phone as a camera (why would you) but the design on the V3 is outstanding that it made me break down and go to one of those awful high street shops! If Bang and Olufson made a phone - this is what it would look like - pop in your top pocket of your suit - almost invisible - and the built in speakerphone is excellent. It also has a wonderful quality and "weight" feel about it...
If you want a grown ups phone - this is the one!
