Lots of faults with this phone.......2007-11-04
This was a good phone - when it worked! Here are the problems I found with this:
1) After a couple months use, the touch sensitive buttons would flicker all the time which would be the equivalent of me selecting them - so basically I'd be in the middle of writing a text, the button would flicker and it would send by accident. Even worse was when they stopped lighting up altogether and I couldn't make phone calls, send texts, etc.
2) When I switched off the phone and switched back on, then read a text (or select some menu options), the phone would vibrate non stop until I switched the phone off - very annoying
3) Everytime I sent a text, the phone would make a loud noise - there is an "Indicative Tone" option that I turned off (and turned on to try) but this noise still occurred. Other people I know with phone didn't have this tone so mine must've been faulty
4) When switching from silent mode, the phone made a loud noise which again I couldnt find a way to turn off
5) My phone is now unusable and unrepairable because the screen went white like some other people's I have noticed on here.
So to sum up, it's the worst phone I have ever had and I have sent it off for repair twice in less than a year, which I have never had to do with previous phones!

I love this phone, its definately the best I'd had over the years. I love the way it looks, its just so shiny.
I too had problems with the touch sensitive buttons at first, but once you get used to them, I thought they were fine. And my battery life is fine...nothing different compared to others phones.
And its great being able to put a memory card in it, means your can store loads of music tracks, like I've done.

Same comment as quite a few other users, really.
I love the phone, it LOOKS good... but those touch-sensitive buttons are so incredibly annoying. I wish I'd gone for the U600 instead - basically the same phone, but with actually buttons, rather than pretty light-up touch sensitive buttons.
One other comment - this phone comes with a memory slot. Sounds excellent, and yes, you can happily put in a 2gb memory card and turn your phone into an iPod replacement. One problem: the battery is so awful, you simply won't do this.
If your iPod dies, fair enough, you can recharge it when you get home. But if your phone dies - and, trust me, the mp3 player zaps the battery on this phone within a couple of hours - then forget about the luxury of listening to music, you can no longer make/receive phonecalls.
Great looking phone, bad design, poor battery life.
And yes, half of my txt messages have been cancelled by accidental brushing of the cancel button. And (compared to my old Samsung E350 phone), simply telling the phone WHO you want to send a txt message to seems to take twice as many button presses.
Avoid.
Or, at least, have a try on one before buying this phone.
Not as good as it looks........2007-06-30
Lovely looking phone but the touch buttons are a nightmare as you only need to brush against them by accident and you end up deleteing your message or phoning the wrong person or cancelling out your last move. My daughter syas you get used to it but i find its like treading on eggshells and I don't need the hastle.
Secondly the phone is back with Samsung for repair a second time as it has a habit of vibrating at will. This happens mostly when you are trying to view a message or read a message and the only way to stop it is to turn it off completely. A friend of mine has the same phone with the same problem so it must be a software fault. I sent it for repair and it was returned with a pass rating on all tests but still had the same fault. i've sent it off again to another Samsung repair place and i am waiting to get it back. This is all very inconvenient and if it happens again I'm going for a full refund.

When I first bought this fone I was ready to throw it through a window for about 2 days, then my mom sat with me reading the instructions while I got used to it, I've had it a month now and with a little patience I now find it a breeze. It's a pretty cool fone I find the battery life's not great but if you keep an eye on things like that you can charge-up before you get a dead line. The touch buttons on the front are a bit sensitive but you do get used to them although I imagine men would find this harder. But overall a cool little fone I only gave 4 stars as some of the instructions are non too clear otherwise I would have given a 5*.

A real grown-up phone, from its sophisticated shade of pink to its soft-touch menu buttons and incredibly light feel yet with a great build quality. The phone opens and slides very smoothly with just a touch of a thumb, and navigating around the phone is incredibly easy. Bright, lovely graphics, a camera that takes pics or video easily, and a keypad that is responsive while still being manageable with only one hand - brilliant!!
Put it this way. My husband, who has had the same Nokia phone for the last 10 years, has at last found one to tempt him to update (tho possibly not the pink colourway!) The matching Bluetooth headset finishes the phone off nicely and makes the whole thing a fashion accessory - now to find some shoes to match lol!

i hate this phone, so much so that within 2 months of owning it, i sold it.
for a start, it is blantently red, not pink.
and who decided that 'heat sensitive' buttons would be a good idea? no one mentions that their an absolute pain to use, if your warm you have to quickly brush over them, if your cold you have to press on them, which would be fine, except their really close together, so using the mp3 player mode is a nightmare. those buttons just do what they want, so like, if your writin a text, before you know it you've deleted it. i dont think i'm getting across how stupid they are.
the phone does have some cool features, but i cant remember now, it just annoyed me so much.
